Dublin's parks and green areas
Dublin has many parks and greens that are a pleasure to visit and retreat from the often busy streets of the city centre. The most obvious are St. Stephens Green, Merrion Square and the grounds of Trinity College. But there is also many public gardens and parks off the beaten track that can provide that green oasis.
St. Stephen's Green

Iveagh Gardens
Walking from St. Stephens green down harcourt Street, The Iveagh Gardens are on the left. They are one of the finest of the city greens in Dublin.
Pheonix Park
The Pheonix Park is the largest enclosed park in Europe, covering over 1750 acres. The park contains Dublin Zoological Gardens which boasts serveral successful rare breeding programs.
Trinity College
Trinity college is open to the public and is in the heart of the city. It's a great place to relax, with it's cobbled pavements, trimmed lawns and fine buildings. Be sure to see the Old Library and the Book of Kells.
